What is the Nguyen Family Foundation and why did we start it?
The Nguyen Family Foundation was founded by Tri, Julia and Chau to promote education and opportunity for students.
Our main inspiration is Loi from our center. He was just a student from a village in Vietnam and now he is going to study at Princeton for his PhD. We remember talking to him when we first met him a few years ago. He could not even dream up the possibility. Countless students share his thirst for learning but lack the financial and educational opportunity. 
Why did you want to start the Robert and Colette Scholarship?
Our friends and mentors Robert and Colette believe in our mission and made a kind donation to help us grow our education company. Instead, we are honored to present this scholarship in their name.
Prizes:
1st place – $500
2nd place – $300
3rd place – $200
How can you apply?
Students can apply by writing an essay based on one of the following prompts.
- What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
- If there’s one thing you wish to change in the world, what would it be? And how will you go about making this wish come true?
- Tell me something interesting about you.
Who can apply?
Any student attending K-12.
How long does your essay have to be?
Between 350-500 words.
When is the deadline to submit your essay?
The deadline to turn in your essay response is April 30, 2017.
